Please be aware of important changes to new
student account login configuration.
All access to shared computing facilities
requires a valid ECC account, consisting of a username and
password. Student user accounts are automatically created for
students who are properly registered at Erie Community College.
Accounts for new students are available the first day of the
semester, unless the student registers late. Late registered
students will have their account created within 24 hours of
registering for a course.
ECC has changed the
username algorithm to accommodate system changes for the Fall
2011 semester. Therefore, if you are a new student to ECC
in or after the Fall 2011 semester, your username will use a
different algorithm than an existing ECC student.
If you were a student prior to the Fall
2011 semester, your account information has not changed.
Students who are new to
ECC for Fall 2011 or after, use the following naming convention.
Username: first six letters of last name +
first initial + middle initial + two digit day of birth + last
digit year of birth
Note: The username should be in lowercase.
If your last name is shorter than six characters, your entire
last name should be used.
Password: last four digits of social
security number + two digit year of birth
Examples:
Name: Virginia R. Taberine
This user would have the following username, e-mail and password
Birth date: 05/15/1971
Username: taberivr151 and e-mail: taberivr151@ecc.edu
Social Security #
000-00-9231 Password: 923171
Name:
Ron J. Doe This user would have the following username, e-mail
and password
Birth date: 12/01/1975 Username: doerj015
Social Security #
000-00-1151 Password: 115175
Students who
have been attending ECC previous to the Fall 2011 semester will
use the following convention.
Username: first six
letters of last name + first initial + two digit day of birth
Note: The username should
be in lowercase. If your last name is shorter than six
characters, your entire last name should be used.
Password: last four digits
of social security number + two digit year of birth
Examples:
Name: Virginia R. Taberine
This user would have the following username, e-mail and password
Birth date: 05/15/1971

I
can log in, but the classes for which I’m registered do not
show under My ANGEL Courses on the My Profile page. What should
I do?
If
you are an ECC student who has just added the course your name
will not appear on the ANGEL roster for up to 24 hours after you
signed up for the course. It is also possible that you have been
dropped from the roster for any number of reasons, include late
payment of fees. If that's the case, and you again add the
course it will take up to 24 hours before you can get access to
ANGEL. If neither of the two previous situations applies
you should contact the ECC Help Desk at (716) 851-1935 or on the
web at http://helpdesk.ecc.edu.
Is

list of available documentation is on the ANGEL login page under
